Well, it's September 11th, and I think people are forgetting what happened. The real tragedy is that the man responsible still hasn't been brought to justice, because our president refuses to follow up his words with action. He claimed a few days after Sept. 11th that anyone harboring terrorists will be considered our enemies, and yet, we invaded Iraq, not Saudi Arabia. Go figure. As anyone knows that follows news reports closely, and doesn't just read the headlines, Saudi Aabia is a hotbed of terrorist activity. And yet, our allegiance remains with the princes, because thye hold the oil. So Bush and his buddies get rich, the Saudi Arabian princes get rich, and America along with the rest of the world gets screwed. Bush's inept leadership has shown through yet again, in the light of Hurricane Katrina. The man he appointed to head FEMA is a political hack, with no real leadership potential or even experience with disaster relief. This nation is being punished, make no mistake. We are reaping what we as a people have sewn. The corrupt party system we have fallen into allowed an idiot like George W. Bush to be elected. Not that we'd have been better off with Gore or Kerry, but that's exactly the point. This nation was designed so that the best man would rise to the top and be a quiet leader behind a confederation of states. Not to be apocalyptic, but this nation in all likelihood is headed for another serious depression, and Islam will rule with an iron fist of terror over many areas of the world. It's gonna happen, probably within the next 50 years, unless we have a serious overhaul in our political system.
