Oh man. Just consider the repercussions! Every single culture on Earth would have incorporated the GIANT SHINING ROAD IN THE SKY into their mythology, navigation, astronomy, and general life. I'll bet the effects would have varied by latitude, too. Funny how we already tend to draw planets with rings on them....
