I had a short shopping list, really....  But bookstores.  *$&%^# bookstores.  The Telegraph Avenue institution Moe's Books gave me two more than I had on my "official" list while, a bit further south on Telegraph, Sunrise Bookshop (fabulous East Bay source for metaphysics and religion) also gifted me two more than intended.
