Hi guys. I'm not sure what it was (post-Holiday blues? lingering flu?) but lately I've been feeling a bit of the blahs and ignoring you fun people at LJ. And while TV may contribute to risks of heart failure, I have to say this week has revived some excitement in fandom. Hopefully, I can become a better LJ citizen for it.

How about that Chuck? ( Read more... )

Hmm, makes you wonder, what if Epitaph one was one of the first episodes?
I liked it. But it's so different watching Epitaph One first. I saw Topher from the outset very differently. I understood the implications of the technology differently too. I think seeing it first made me more patient but also more wanting to get back to Epitaph One world too. If the show was going to continue and this was the first ep, I think they'd have to make reference to it again throughout the show. One friend of mine said wouldn't it have been cool to visit the Epitaph One world for each season finale? Epitaph One, Epitaph Two, just to keep this narrative going. I don't know about that but even though I'm sad the show is ending I'm really glad we are getting back to Epitaph One world. I don't think we would have quite as soon if the show was continuing.

was that ten years later or just a few years later, and Mags et company enters the LA Dollhouse ten years later?
I think Mags and Co enter nine years later. The assault at the end? Or when they are going above ground? It was earlier when Saunders was still Saunders and not Whiskey. I have no idea when that assault takes place, though.

Hence his own science-powers prevents him from curing his mental illness via tech. Oh the irony.
He tried a cure on himself and it didn't work? Interesting idea. I'm not sure if Topher would mess with his own brain first, though. But that sure would be ironic. I really hope he ends up okay.
