(no subject)
Well between my last entry and this entry it's been really hectic, good and some things have been quite disappointing.
My marks are what's disappointing. I thought I'd do better. My GPA..well I don't even wanna know what I got as my GPA for first term. Sure I passed everything, but I'm not even close to an optimist, so don't go there...my marks suck and that's the punch line. The only A+'s I got were in Careers and English. Not even Math got an A, or a B.
I should've gotten atleast a B- in Webprogramming, but that professor is a complete asshole. I got close to perfect on 5 of his assignments (each was worth 15%), the 6th I didn't even bother handing in, and the last was optional (well according to him, it was). Then I know I failed one test (was worth 15%), and two quizzes (each was worth 3%), but I know I passed the exam, so wdf?! Why the D+ ?! Someone sane please tell this ain't right.
Anyways, enough bitching about my marks, I'm not surprised with SQL and I'm not surprised with XP (the DOS labs were what brought me down), but I'm going to talk to Jackson about my mark.
Now a flashback of the week: I got a 2 week job at Zellers: I was originally hired at the restaurant, but it seems they need me on the floor (not literrally ofcourse, it just means they want me shelving items). I'm currently working there, but I will be done near the end of December (just in time for next term's classes). My hours are crazy: I worked Tuesday 9 - 4, then Wednesday and Thursday 11 - 4:30, and next week I have Sunday: 12 - 6:30, Monday: OFF!!!, Tuesday 9 - 4, Wednesday 9 - 4, Thursday 9 - 4, Friday 9 - 4. Yesterday I went out with the 'rents to celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary: We went to West End Station. I ordered a Long Island Iced Tea, didn't get ID'd.
Tomorrow I'm going to Bell for a bit, I promised to hang out with Jess but I haven't had the chance with work, and I bailed on her yet again...I feel really bad for doing this to her...hmm...
I'm planning on going over to Kay's place on Saturday. I feel bad for skipping her birthday, but it's cos she had it the day of my first workday, and I was on for 6 hours, so I was pretty tired.
