(no subject)
I haven't updated in over a week. Well since then I've been moving into the house on Christy, packing and moving stuff back to VA and then going to Sprint. So last week was kind of hectic. Started moving in that Monday, well actually we just painted. So I painted my room in two different colors. A mediterranean blue(hint of green) and then a robin's egg blue and white trim that was already there. I like it and it's grown on me thought now I think it may be a tad dark, oh well. So then on Tuesday Amber came to visit and she and I went to PF Chang's and had a really good lunch with free hot and sour soup because our waiter forgot to bring them out. Went and looked in craft stores and then on to Borders where we got some pretty good caramel frappacino things. I miss hanging out with her. Well after she left I went to help out with the move. Ends up we didn't have Wes' dad to help with some of the things we thought weren't going to fit in my truck with the cap on so that was another hurdle we had to face. Well everything did actually fit in my truck and so did Jessica's headboard with a little pushing and shoving. I'm so glad Wes was there to help. I owe him big time for all of that.
Thursday Wes took me on a date he tried to plan out, I say try because very little of what he planned actually worked out. So he wouldn't tell me what we were doing but I guessed it was a picnic of sorts and so I guessed right. On the way he told me he had to pick up some food because try as he might he can't cook much besides boiling water and I heard he had tried to make a cheesecake. I'll give him credit for trying. So we picked up some food (We thought KFC would be good picnic food) and headed over to the park. It had a beautiful lake and since it was raining we sat under a gazebo. later we fed some ducks some of the leftover chocolate cake we had and I kept telling Wes that this one duck that ate most of it's butt was going to explode and it would die from all the chocolate. Well then some swans started to come over and I had already seen some of the same swans try to kill a gossling from the canadian geese that were close by. Well they started coming after us and honking at us... I started to freak out and we left the pond. We played on a playground for a little while and then got back in the car to see if we could play minigolf but it started to thunderstorm. So we went and rented a movie. Zathura because we were really not in the mood for a serious movie. It was ok but I wouldn't buy it. He dropped me off after that and finally kissed me(and it wasn't awkward either). So I was pretty happy after that.
Friday was a lot of moving and trying to move most of Jessica's stuff including washer and a dryer we had to pick up from her dad's place... I don't mind going over there though because there's always something surprising over there. Her grandfather decided to feed Jessica, Marc and I some lemon pie mmmmmmm.... and then she let me convince her that I wanted to play her dreamcast heheh... Then I packed all that night... never even went to bed and it still looked like I hadn't packed anything. So Saturday was all of the baccalaureate(whatever?) mass and graduation stuff... it was so freaking cold in the church and then in knight's hall and I was so cold for the rest of the day. Picked up my dad from the airport after going and picking up the gas stove I had to by(it's pretty basic for a stove but still cost $250 and that was the cheapest) he and Marc took it into the house. I started moving all of my stuff over I had way too much fit into that room in the ministry house. Basically moved over a truck load of stuff to Christy and dumped it in my room and then filled up another full truck load to go home... way too much accumulated over the year. Got a bunch packed and had dinner with dad and Jessica at Mark's Feed Store and then went and pack some more... You know how I was saying all week I wanted to leave like no later than 9am... we didn't finally leave until around 1 pm because I had to still check out and Hannah even helped the last hour trying to clear out that entire house. Got home around 12:30 am and dropped dead in my bed.
So for the last week I've been trying to catch up on sleep and I think I've finally done it. On Wednesday I went to Sprint to meet my Boss-to-be and all the rest of the people I'll be working with during the summer. They're all a bunch of goof-balls. I don't really like the other intern Kate very well... she's kinda got this Holier than though attitude. She was undergrad at Carnigie-Mellon(where I wanted to go when I wanted to go into engineering for a small time) and she got a degree in information systems but decided she hated it and then is now in NYU of a media communications program, and I apparently to her go to some backwater college in the country in Kentucky. Oh well... I think everyone esle there likes me and I seem to have more of a personality than she does so far. I'm just waiting for all the formal stuff to go through like background check and drug test... So that's it's so far on my summer :)
