*sigh* Can't afford the testing, at least not with this doctor. She does not take my mental health benefits and only accepts my normal medical insurance, which will only cover 50%. So..none of that.
I have a screening meeting for G on Thursday. I guess too many parents are getting their kids tested for Gifted and they are trying to make sure the screening process keeps out the ones that aren't showing the right signs. She told me G was the first to be screened, and she says it might be difficult to decide without any standardized testing.
So, I will be going in with all the statistics. Younger siblings of Gifted children tend to be Gifted too. That IQ tests can be used for diagnostic purposes to see what kind of learners children are. That overexcitabilities might account for a great deal of his behavior. And that the lady in the time out room told me that he finishes his work super fast, and then sits with a book quietly.
