Living in Shalom
Despite every excuse I ever to keep me from resting, yesterday managed to be the first REAL day of rest that Steve and I took. With a week full of stress and reminders of coming stresses with school we still managed to do something different. Thursdays Shaw-Mah we talked about it a bit so Erika decided to join us in our journeying of rest. It was so good and what's strange is that having a whole day where you don't work or even think about work really does somehow connect you to God. I know one of the main reasons we need to do this is to remind us that God keeps the world in order and not us, but we all came to the end of the day discussing all this and I could not have imagined this if I were to have thought about it before hand. So many valuable things came out of the day and it just shows me that I need to make this a priority in my life because Lord knows I need more rest.
