in my every effort to leave starbucks it just always seems there's something that holds me there

I've done all the paperwork and it has been signed now all it needs is to be approved and then I'll be hopefully moving to a store 5 minutes from my house to move up the chain.

Now, I've talked a lot about this with friends and I really didn't want to do it at one point but my manager pulled me aside a couple days ago and told me it'd be the best thing for me since I'd only have to work three full shifts in order to get what I already require now but as a shift I'd get the pay increase as well as the pay increase that starbucks is already providing to everyone and then there's the pay hike from the government so really. It makes more sense that I don't have to work as many days in order to pay my rent.

So I figure I should get go for it, get it over with and I suppose I should look at this more as an opportunity to give my resume a boost so one day.... when I'm finished school I can say I didn't work the lamest position all my time there. Besides, I think they're a good company to make free money off of too in terms of stocks and such... (or mostly free money) so it's kinda nice that i'm not really working for that.

so if all gets approved I'll be moving to this store in probably three weeks time
