Having spent the past few hours staring at the glowing red-yellow-brown hues of the drawing on my computer screen, the skin on my hands looks overwhelmingly green. Not in sickly way, or in a cool, "I'm an alien" way. I'd never really noticed how weird (and yet logical, when you think about it) that use of 'very' is.

Also, people talking about eating perritos is mildly disturbing/odd until you realize that perrito = perrito caliente.

My sister's science textbook has a glossary in Spanish. Why didn't any of my science textbooks ever have glossaries in Spanish?

I seem to have developed a habit of talking to people I don't know very well online in Spanish. Even if they don't speak Spanish at all, I'll start to translate what I want to say and then remember that "hey, I'm probably better off with English."
