i have an idea for a movie. ill need to kill a lot of you though-... and i hope thats okay. i have some peoples agreement, and id like some more-... ill tell you this much, it IS a zombie movie (what have i ever written that wasnt necro-related?)... so, i figure if im still in contact with some of you and this thing gets good enough, we could all make some bank and have a good time spraying stage blood on one another ^_^ kinky enough for you yet?...
i plan on establishing how people are killed and reanimated. id also like to follow the stories of a group of people getting together and trying to survive as well as a "lone-wolf"... and possibly intertwining their stories. oh my my my, so many ideas.
heres the first part ive written (please keep in mind its a rough draft, so im open to criticism)... also, keep in mind i used two random people (i know) so the names are subject to change:
“ZOMBIE HOARDE”
(title subject to change)
INTRODUCTION-
*VOICE-OVER while following SEAN through a walk in a somewhat busy street/mall(?) speaking symptoms of transformation to “zombie”
*SEAN walking in busy street/mall (running opening credits)
*SEAN is bumped into by a “SHADY CHARACTER”
*CLOSE-UP shot of SEAN being quickly injected with something from a syringe
*SEAN recoils in horror, but loses track of “SHADY CHARACTER”
VO: hour one - a carrier (SEAN) is met with intense sensations of pain and discomfort, often proceeding a dicoloration of the point of “infection”.
*SEAN stumbles around for a minute before regaining balance and looking at arm, which is bleeding slightly and has turned brownish-purple (bruised)
*SEAN walks to car, continuing to stumble, moreso now than before. He is now coughing a bit but shakes it off as he gets into his car and begins driving.
*SEAN pulls up at his house and falls out of car. He leaves the car door open, throws open front door to house and slams it closed. He falls on the couch, coughing. He rubs arm at point of infection and flips on the television.
*NOTE: we CAN establish a string of sickness or something at this point, though it seems a tad cliché. It is not necessary at this point.
*show how unrestful SEAN is and that he is getting more sick. He should be paler than normal by now as well and sweating.
VO: hour four - the carrier may begin to show signs of a viral infection, such as influenza. Slight boughts of the chills, vomitting and symptoms of sickness may begin showing up more rapidly as the infection begins to attack the bloodstream and central nervous system.
*SEAN should begin vomiting and coughing more than before. For a more disgusting look, add some blood to vomit or consider making his eyes bloodshot. He will continuing sweating throughout this phase.
*SEAN blacks out, vomit caked to his chin. Fade in and out during this, possibly becoming unfocused as he loses consciousness.
VO: hours eight through eleven - the carriers fever will increase during this phase of infection, and will include such symptoms as increased lack of balance and loss of muscular control. Body temperatures may reach high enough levels as to start killing off brain cells and may envoke dementia-like responses to stimuli.
*SEAN will stand up, with trouble, and “drunkenly” stumble towards the kitchen (use hand-cam for shakey feeling, possibly blurred) and almost fall onto sink as he knocks faucet on and splashes water on his face, making a slight mess. He is moon-white now. He checks his wound, which should LOOK infected (possibly puss?) now.
*SEAN pushes himself off the counter and falls to the ground, slightly clawing at the cabinets in vain. His hand shortly drops to the ground and he ceases to move.
VO: during this final stage before complete infection is achieved, the bodys heart rate may slow to near-death levels. Most carriers do not reach this state due to unhealthy lifestyles and skip the comatose phase altogether. The heart will stop beating shortly and the brains activity will follow in suit.
*close-up of SEANs face and perfect stillness and breathlessness.
*SEAN begins to wheeze violently, still laying on the ground.
VO: after clinical death is reached, it is only a matter of time before reanimation is achieved. The bodies functions will almost all cease, aside from basic functions. It is recommended that the carrier now avoid all human contact, as the infection is highly contagious.
*steady-cam to the door, which is opened. Standing there, a very nervous PATRICK who looks around for a second. We cut to behind him and follow with a hand-cam as he runs to the kitchen and drops to the ground and begins shaking SEAN, trying to help him regain “consciousness”.
VO: infection can be spread from a carrier by any form of bodily fluid entering an uninfected persons body. The newly infected carrier will experience similar reactions. It is unknown as to how fast this infection will mutate, but it is possible that the symptoms will speed up as the infection mutates into its next generation.
*PATRICK begins helping SEAN off the ground. As SEAN is about halfway to his feet, he knocks PATRICK down (by the throat?… and if so, by clawing, not grabbing) and as the two struggle (swearing is a must from PATRICK), SEAN bites into PATRICKS shoulder.
*Show title screen.
...ZOMBIE HOARDE (title subect to change)
...so, thats what i have thus far. im also considering having these two fall into the main story as well, though this isnt to say theyre the BEGINNING of the strain. you know... its all up in the air (not ACTUALLY, but in my head), so some suggestions are VERY welcome, no matter how obscure. keep in mind i have to FILM this, so having someone jump off a burning house and drive through a crowd of people isnt the best choice (i also dont plan to have much running, as this is about survival, not escape). okay, hope some of you enjoy it... thank you. good night ^_^
