At some point in the last couple of weeks, something in the tangled, neurotic, delusional mess that was Elliot Reid's mind had snapped, and she was now planning her wedding.
It was going well so far. The ceremony was going to be held in the hotel lounge, converted into a little makeshift church, and the ballroom was absolutely perfect for the reception. Of course, Elliot would have to get someone to help her move in some table and chairs and rearrange the lounge, but people were often eager to help a pregnant lady in distress. She'd just pretend to cry at them.
As for the decorations, well, there were plenty of fake flowers in the gift shop. And if anybody calls them tacky I will do something extremely violent to them. I should probably look for an apron, too. I really don't want to get blood on my dress. Food wasn't going to be a problem; the kitchen had plenty for everyone. She wasn't sure what to do about the cake, though - would one just turn up when she needed it? A bowl of cornflakes with fruit chutney had appeared just when she'd been craving one yesterday morning. She wasn't sure if that kind of thing was going to be a regular occurrence, though.
There was also the problem of the dress. Elliot had a very clear picture of what her wedding dress was going to look like, but unfortunately there was no way she was going to fit into it now, what with her giant pregnant belly. Also, the clothing store didn't have any wedding dresses. She had found a passable white sundress there, though, which would have to do until a yard of white silk, a sewing machine and preferably a tailor showed up.
Oh yeah, and speaking of problems, there was the groom. She really wasn't sure what to do about that. She had briefly considered telling Smith they were getting married, but had decided she really liked being alive, so she left the name blank on all of the invitations. A little kink like that wasn't going to stop her from handing them out.
'You are cordially invited to the wedding of Elliot Reid and ________ on July the 21st! The ceremony is taking place at 6pm in the lounge, with reception from 7 - 8pm in the ballroom. RSVP.'
She was quite proud of her handiwork, actually, even if she still didn't know what 'cordially' meant. So proud that she was prowling around the airport looking for people to invite. She had made twenty cards so far - That calligraphy camp TOTALLY paid off - and was determined to get rid of at least ten of them before the end of the day.
Or else.
[OOC: Come one, come all, and get an invite from the crazy woman! Okay, so there may not actually be a wedding as such, but there could be...a not-getting-married party. :D]
