Day 2 in San Francisco is a bit of a blur because we did so much. We had a tour on a fire engine at 1:00. We met the tour down near Ghirardelli square. It was an old 1955 Mack fire engine. We sat on top in the wind and the cold, but it was a great view and we had a blast.
Here we are going over the bridge on the fire truck
We had an extra added bonus that day. The Blue Angels were in town for Fleet Week, and they were rehearsing their show over the Bay. We got great seats for the show. Do not adjust your computer, two of them actually are upside down.
Here we are in our fire geer by the truck.
I do not want to think about how many heads that helmut was on before mine.
I took this one because of the super cute guy sitting behind me. What am I, 16?
Yes, we went to Ghirardelli Square for chocolate sundaes. Twice.
We tooled around town, looking at the beautiful homes and the sites.
The "Painted Ladies" victorian homes.
I thought this one looked like a jewel box.
We visited the sea lions at Pier 39... They put on quite a show for us. Except for the funky smell, I could have watched them all day.
...and I met my future husband.
We found this quaint old Pet Cemetary in the Presidio. They are building an expressway directly over it. That's what those beams are.
This is the very old fort under the bridge.
The only place where there's an arch in the bridge so they didn't have to tear it down.
...and ended up in Golden Gate Park at sunset.
Bonfires on the beach.
We saw this cool old windmill that has an interesting history:

Another day over. Again, no one died. I call that a win.
