Extreme cold turkey
Hmm. Well, on Sunday I gave up smoking again. I'm now approximately 60 hours into cold turkey, and my life is already feeling the difference.
Monday night saw the start of working on my OU course, and I was somewhat surprised to finish what is classed as "Study Week 1" within 3.5 hours, including note taking and critical analysis. Monday night also saw a large amount of washing, cleaning and sorting as I attempted to keep my hands busy enough not to scream at nicotine withdrawal.
Last night saw the making of home made fishcakes with fresh fish, much more alarming spring cleaning and sorting activities, as well as a phone call from the parents, "Stargate" (the conspiracy/recap episode) and "Angel" (The One where Wesley kills his Father). I cannot say how relieved I am that WB has cancelled Angel, as it has been getting progressively harder and harder to maintain any kind of interest. I suspect it's because Joss Whedon hasn't been the main creative driving force in the last few series, although that wasn't the fault with "Firefly".
I remain thankful that the new "24" is showing, as it gives me one thing to watch, at the very least.
