Contemplating my path...
You know, I can't wait until college starts up again in September. Going back to doing something I enjoy...my acting. Keeps my mind and energy occupied too. I get extremely nervous/anxious doing it, but it's so rewarding too you know? Wierd me.
An important year too. At the end of this year we have to send off applications to Universities or Drama Schools, where ever I decide. The pros and cons are on both sides. I need a back-up plan or occupation, just in case this path falls through - that's University, I can do double degrees there. I wanna do Art with Drama, or Film Studies -But would that lead to getting into the 'Acting' Profession, Equity etc? Then there's just wanting the straight 'Acting' route and taking a gamble, learn deeper experiences and going that way - possibly getting somewhere and possibly not - the 80/20 route. ?? I'm confused, I don't know what to do. Money again, is my problem. Drama School and Uni's are notoriously expensive...so heavy debts are inevitable. This is an important step for me and I'm shite-ing myself over it.
I should ask Orlando for advice. I'm sure he's got bags of it, after the path he's took. Maybe I should write him a letter (and hand it to him if I ever met him) asking for advice, maybe he would respond? Hmmm....
