We're going to meet the jeweller next week so I can pick the band/setting I like and get my fingers measured for exact size, and we'll be able to collect the finished ring when I get back from the D.A.R.E. camp.
Man, when I said that we seem to be doing everything topsy-turvy, it was more true than I knew. But hey, I guess that's part of the fun isn't it? I never seem to be able to keep a hold of things, or stay in control of how situations move... not with him. He's unpredictable, and yet predictably so, till the balance of it makes my head ache.
And after all, despite my wanting to have that symbolic ritual done before I considered things official... we both already knew that it was mainly that -- a formality and a symbolic ritual, because we knew from the start that we were in this for the real thing, no games, and along the way we've had plenty of things to consider and we're still here. Still together.
Well! It's really happening now... here we go! :)
