Question #106: Do you usually make a special effort to thank someone who did a favor for you? How do you react when you aren't thanked for going out of your way for someone?

Yes, you should thank people when they do favors for you. Duh. And it's hard not to feel slighted when your generosity goes unappreciated.

I have some friends that don't do favors for others, and I guess that's safely unobjectionable, since they don't expect favors back. But it doesn't feel right that they don't want to play along with everyone else. Especially between friends, there's a very large margin of favor-returning-forgiveness. You're not supposed to keep track of what you did for your friend, or what they did for you. Favors should flow more freely the stronger the relationship.
