I decided not to go to the RV park.

I had quite the Saturday.  My cold was mostly gone, the mail was pretty light, I was ready to deliver at 9:30 (which is average).  And the Jeep wouldn't start.  I called Tony, who had gotten my cold.  He had an extra starter, by the time he got there and switched out starters, it was 10:30.  Still nothing.  We ran around trying to buy a new one, but the jeep's too old.  By now I'm panicing.  I traded the mustang for Tiffany's car, moved the mail and started delivering (11:30 on most days I'm usually 1/2 done).  By the time I got close to the place I get gas, Tony had fixed the jeep.  I went back, moved the mail  and took off...I forgot my wallet in Tiffany's car.  Finally things a flowing.  I'm done at 3-ish (Anthony's birthday party is at 4pm).  My transmission starts to fuss.  So, I give it some fluid, hoping this will at least get me back to the post office.  At first it seems to help, but only for about 5 minute (the PO is 10 away).   I find if I can keep the jeep moving, it seems to keep going.  But I have a stop sign coming up, nice clear street, but a cop in eye sight.  So, I stop at the sign, I am now 1 or less miles from the PO.  Dead in the water.  I have Tony on the phone saying reve it.  smoke is pouring out everywhere and the jeep isn't budging.  Now I have a line of cars behind me.  It's 3:30 time is ticking away.  While waiting for Tony to come rescue me, I decided to see if I could find a problem.  A line had come undone.  So, I called Tony to tell him, because I thought I could do it myself.  But he sent Bobby and he wasn't answering his phone.  So, I fixed the jeep, put more transmission fluid in it and started back to the PO.  The transmission was still slipping in and out.  But I made it (I did a California stop at each sign).  As I approached the back door, the jeep quit moving forward.  By then Bobby got his voice mail, so I told him I was at the PO and to meet me there.  I finished my work, Bobby and I pushed the jeep into a parking spot, I switched Tiffany's car for my mustang and headed home.  As we were driving to Anthony's Birthday party, I remembered that I still had Census work, I called my boss and met up with her in Vernal, proceeded to the pool, where they were holding Anthony's party.  We were an hour late, everybody else got there an hour early, so some had left.  We swam for about an hour and went to Max's and had dinner and cake and ice cream.  What a day.
