The book we read Bias, was an opionionated book about the media that was kind of like a venting novel. Their was no validity behind what this writer had to say, he was just venting his own opionion. He quoted a few sources but he wasn't specialized in the areas he was discussing. The author states in the overall of his book that he is a liberal bias. I feel he should have quoted more and maybe gave some better examples in his text to support what he wrote.
News reporters are good for not being true sometimes, a prime example is the war in Iraq. The news reporters happened to be getting this insane footage that even me as a soldier in the army would't even be able to see being mobilized. By watching this over the television I really don't believe that they really were that close. I think that somethings were taped and then they edited the tape and then played it over the TV.
It all depends on the source and how much support they give for someone to believe what is going on and what is stated. I personally don't believe half of the stuff that goes on all the time. That is just my personal opion, that a lot of the stuff broadcasted isn't true. I don't really care that much about it either.
