Something I've been struggling with ever since I was a kid was this issue where, if I thought about doing something, my brain would get the feedback response that I completed it. This was ranged from chores, to school work, to even things I wanted to make for myself. There was no study on such a phenomenon at the time so any attempt to explain this sensation was, so much of my life was spent struggling with this issue but not really knowing how to pin it down and do anything about it.
The older I got the worse it got, I, over time, reminded myself I need to make sure I back up the things I say by actually doing, to do more and talk about what I'm going to do less and it helps. Though what has really helped has been coming to terms with Executive Dysfunction. I really think this issue is a subset of, or is otherwise aggravated by, Executive Dysfunction. So while this article tells me things I already figured out and am already working on, it's just nice to see it actually being acknowledged/studied.
Now I just gotta keep giving myself routine and setting things in front of me to actually do in order to keep up with this.
