Painters! Some Questions!
Okay so
I've had this set of oils in my possession for some time now, and I've been going back and forth contemplating painting, even picked up a set of simple 16"x20" canvases
I've never been too good at paints, but I really want to try something seriously now, (I think my digital 'painting' has helped me get the concept of color layering and mixing sorta.. heh)
but I have a few kinda technical questions
Is it alright to use Acrylic for a base color on a canvas, and paint on it using oils?
And, is it alright to mix silver powder with oil paints?
Also been looking into getting a nice set of brushes
I believe this was the set I was eyeing at Micheal's
I need a set of synthetics that are firm, but not rough. I'm not very good with my control with brushes, so I have a hard time with super soft bristles
Though I may get some rough brushes for texturing.
and any other little pointers/tips will be nice
(oh I better get paint cleaner! o_o)
