(no subject)
I am suffering through the third day of a headache which i had originally thought was a migraine but yesterday i started getting some drainage of whatever was in the pipes unfortunately the drainage wasn't out of my nose. I have no cold/sinus pills at home and i am going to have to go and get some. (If anyone has had to go and buy cold medicine lately they know what a pain in the ass it is....and why the hell should there be a written record of me getting cold medicine?? did you know that somehow they managed to tack that all on to the patriot act?)
Yesterday Harry and my sister-in-law Laura went and saw The Darjeeling Express. I really liked Rushmore but I have to admit with every film I have wanted to like them more than I actually do. I did think this was much better than The Life Aquatic though. What Wes Anderson is good at doing: witty dialogue, creating a new world, creating interesting characters, picking the perfect music.
I talked to Ellyn last night and it is her 18th birthday on the 12th. When she comes up for Thanksgiving break she wants to get a tattoo. We have decided to get matching mother/daughter tattoos. I have suggested my long desired tattoo inspired by a drawing in Tolstoy's diaries....now i just have to search it down again. It was something I saw in a book about 16 years ago and it is a series of small circles within larger circles symbolizing: I was/ I am/ I am becoming. If anybody as any other suggestions we are open to them. She was thinking of getting them on the inner ankle but i am much more drawn to one on the inner arm by the wrist.
It looks like we will be going up to the UP next weekend. We will probably be coming up Friday night and leaving Tuesday morning.
