Dalish/City split?
I've been playing through with my Tabris again, and something just occurred to me. Leyna mentioned that the Dalish clans are descended from the nobility of the Dales. The Wiki also mentioned this: "The clans date back to the ruling clans of the Dales and the Dalish are the descendants of the ruling houses of their destroyed homeland."
Does this suggest that the division between the Dalish and City elves may be at least partly class-related? Maybe the commoner elves of the Dales weren't all that sanguine about their chances of survival as wandering nomads? It would also explain some of the condescension of the Dalish towards their city cousins.
