Some photographs from Berlin's Communication Museum.  It would have been easy to shunt things like old telephones, stamps and writing instruments into a dark, out-of-the way space. Instead, they''re on show in a glorious building that was once the Imperial Post Office.

The stamps were designed for the 1980 Olympics. But because Germany boycotted the Moscow Games, the stamps were never issued.
