Been busy and feeling anti-social, so I apologize for the lack of updates and the lack of comments on friends' journals.
Lenae hasn't had her 9 month checkup and won't until Feb. 1 (apparently her well child clinic's booked solid in January and I didn't think to book earlier), so I don't know how heavy she is, but I know the lil munchkin's still growing like a weed because her 12 month clothes are all fitting in length perfectly and probably will be too small within a month or so.
She has a new word. "Bye-bye". Complete with the little wave, although she sometimes gets confused and forgets to open her hand so she's just waving a little fist. She seems to associate it strongly with her daddy, probably because he's the main one who tells her bye-bye when he leaves for work in the evenings.
She is not crawling yet, but that doesn't seem to stop her from escaping her floor playmats or gym when she wants to roll/wiggle around. She's wanting to stand all the time and can stand 10-20 seconds holding onto the couch if you help her get there in the first place. She's finally bothering to sit up, although she still gets frustrated with falling over when she gets excited. (And the boys are so cute - they panic if she so much as wobbles, and major freakouts happen if she actually falls over...)
The boys are doing well with their new semester of school work, although Mom's feeling a bit overwhelmed with the grading. We split their social studies and science so that they aren't doing the same courses just to give them something apart from each other (and so they'd be less competitive about it). J1's doing Geography and Physical Science, while J1's doing American History and Earth Science (I had them draw lots on who got what since neither had a preference). Plus their spelling, math, reading, grammar, and keyboarding.
I found out yesterday I have a training trip coming up in April or May. Three days of training, which means with flying at least two half-to-full days of travel. Part of me would like to be in the first training group, which will be in NYC, but part of me hopes to wait until a regional training somewhere like Atlanta or Dallas is available so I don't have to travel as far.
I'll still be nursing at that point and that's going to be fun as I have no real stash to speak of and barely keep even with Lenae as it is. I bought some Motherlove's More Milk Plus at Wild Oats a few weeks ago and it really seemed to help. Unfortunately they don't carry the Special Blend that I really need, and ordering online makes it even more expensive due to shipping. *sighs*
Time to get back to work. TTFN.
