Lenae hasn't had a drop of formula since the 14th. Bear wanted to experiment with taking away her 4-oz bottle of formula and subbing baby food instead. We have a much, much happier baby and a bit less spitup, although you can tell her meds don't help much (especially towards the end of the dosing schedule). The Prevacid is a pain to give to her. It's a solutab which has to be dissolved in a syringe with 4ml of water, and half the little granules stay in the syringe and have to be redone with more water. I still can't get the syringe completely cleared. It's also supposed to be given 30 min before eating, which is hard to time.
I'm a restless sleeper and Lenae's a light sleeper, so we guessed that I might be waking her up at night, so we've been transitioning her to her bed at night. She's slept most nights from 10-5 or thereabouts lately, waking up to tuck in with me and nurse and drowse until time for me to get up for work. Yesterday morning I overslept and woke up to Lenae slowly moving down the bed on her back (her giggle woke me up) - and raised up to see J1 at the foot of the bed, tugging his sister by the feet. He'd decided to take her to the kitchen while the boys ate breakfast to let me sleep. I had to remind the silly boy that it was a workday and I was late.
She's outgrowing both her baby bathtub and her infant seat, height-wise. Her head's up above the headrest part on her bathtub. I hate to buy a sponge for a month or two, but it's harder and harder to bathe her in the little tub. Maybe I'll just fill up the bathtub enough to go over the little tub and use that as her tub seat until she's got control of sitting up.
We need to buy her a good sippy cup. She's been taking my cup and drinking my water lately and fusses if I don't let her have it. With luck, her wanting a cup so soon will work out like with J1. He was off the bottle by 9 months old because he preferred his cup instead.
Milestone! She rolled back-to-front last week while playing with the boys on her floor quilt. Won't be long til she's mobile, I bet, although she still doesn't like to stay on her tummy.
