Gah I hate heartburn

Baby is still high, giving me horrid heartburn, and I swear that 4 pounds I gained as of last visit was 100% baby. I don't look all that big but it feels like she is so cramped up in there, and she likes to protest it regularly. I can't sit up straight anymore because of all the baby jammed into my ribs... will be glad when she drops and settles down lower. All I can say is she'd better be a big baby like her brothers, or I'm gonna feel utterly silly whining if she's a 6 pounder or something. ;-)

I'm not sleeping so great because she kicks the crap out of whichever side I'm laying on, and I can't sleep on my back. The weather getting warm is rather nice, although with my hot flashes, I am sleeping under a fan with the window open and being very very grateful I'm not pregnant in the summer heat again like with J2.

Talking to a friend yesterday, I mentioned going to the hospital for a tour so we'd know what the facility is like, having never been there other than visits to the OB's office in one wing. L&D there is pretty open - just asked that we call ahead and make sure they aren't swamped so a nurse would have time to show us around.

The friend commented "oh, so Bear will have something to do when you are with the doctor?" I had to laugh... is it so odd that Bear goes to all my appointments with me and stays in the OB office during them? We start full pelvic exams next time (36 weeks) and will be going weekly. It's kind of nice having him there for that sort of exam because then we don't have to wait on the nurse to come back in for the exam.

Besides, I doubt you'll get me out of his sight for more than five minutes when we go to have the baby, aside from maybe the recovery room or if he has to leave with Lenae having any issues.

Bear did joke last night that he'd seen it all before, so he could just skip it this time. Yeah right. This from the man who still resents that he missed J1's birth because of military duty. He's just being silly. ;-)

30 days to go.

bebeh, whining, bear
