Procrastination
Didn't get to early vote yesterday. No parking for blocks and blocks around the courthouse. Parking's horrid there on a good day anyway. Was going to vote before work, but despite being at my polling place at 7:30 a.m., there was already a considerable line out the door and folks were bringing folding chairs to sit in line. Since I had to be at work at 8:00, I decided I'd vote after work. If I have to stand in line for an hour, won't matter then.
Baby gets a new nickname now... The Wiggleworm. The activity that the doc was smiling about has made itself known to Mom now as well. The funny part? It started when we were at Gigi's, and we haven't told Bear's family yet. We are waiting until we get the next ultrasound. So I kept nudging Bear and trying to tell him without giving everything away to Gigi. Since then... The Wiggleworm!
We made a library run last night. Picked up two more of the Blood series by Tanya Huff (they're in 2 book volumes), a Kim Harrison, the second Summoning book by Tanya Huff, and Worldwired by Elizabeth Bear. I had to request every single one of them, as they were at 4 different branch libraries. I've gotten tricky about doing that because of the way they scatter the paperback collections. They'll have one book of a series in one library, one in another, and so forth. Annoying! I'm still finishing a cyberpunk novel, second in the Takeshi Kovacs series by Richard K. Morgan. Kovacs is getting a bit Godlike in this book and it is bugging me, but I'll finish it at least.
