Vacation time!

After a weekend of debate, I have been convinced to accompany 7 of my friends to Fort Lauderdale on March 19 until the 26th. One has to wonder how someone, who is on unemployment, can afford such a thing. I said the same thing for weeks but after three arm twistings and some verbal abuse, I was coerced into it by my friends. They have graciously offered to help me out with my expenses during the trip until I can afford to pay them back. Actually, a few of my friends offered to pay for my plane ticket entirely but it is very hard to agree to those terms when you have pride.
I originally looked into taking a Greyhound down to Florida and giving my recent economic situation a fee of $150 was an easy choice over $300 for the plane ticket. Damn my friends, Damn them! I was told that the trip on a bus wouldn't be the worst, at least not on the way down, but I would dread the day and a half bus ride home. I have included pictures of where we are staying for a bit of a visual on why I couldn't say no.

The entrance

The back yard

The master Bedroom

The wet bar!

The pool

Another view from the yard

One last view

Bunny can't just post pictures of the place and not explain how we landed this spectacular view. My roommate has been sailing for many years now. Apparently one of the men he sails with sold his company awhile back and is now well off, as one can see from the pictures. This individual decided to raffle off a week stay at his “vacation home” during a sailing benefit so my roommate decided that he wanted to win the trip.

As I mentioned earlier, I declined at first but then I realized that there won't be many more times that I will be able to go on vacation with 7 of my friends, let alone 3 of my closet ones. It is a shame that 2 of our friends couldn't make it that week as they would have added to excitement of the trip. Since they couldn't make it that week, they decided to travel to New Orleans and visit Bourbon Street. I am definitely looking forward to sunshine, the beach, and a few A.R.B.'s.
