...Stardust wasn't just watchable, it was bleedin' very enjoyable indeed. Not what one expects from something labelled a "date movie" - awooga awooga. Don't let the hamfisted trailer/pub put you off.
Well done all - absorbing and great fun. Fab cast, nicely put together, kept its Gaimanity. Hubby? liked the flying ship but that was about it (it lost him the minute someone mentioned 'Love', and I wouldn't ordinarily argue with him over that).

Elsewhere: then you must do as God has bid/tell not me mother what you did
I've not seen the Channel 4 The Mysteries anywhere on torrent or DVD or video or anywhere ever, which is just plain WRONG dammit.
Not good enough, poxy intarwebz. So I'm going to try and (a) torrent and (b) upload the 1988 Australian broadcast. My PC may not be up to it, so wish me luck. Gorgeous language, stellar cast, best of all being Brian Glover as God and Jack Shepherd as Satan. Rather lovely music too on the whole.
Religion you can keep ;) but the things it inspires... oooh wow. Bill Bryden ftw.
