Lots of pruning at Mum's today - she's in good spirits, but very tired and in more pain that she lets on. Doc has ordered bone scan asap, to see if all the aches and pains are worrisome/spot treatable - and essentially told her to stop being daft about the pain relief; according to sister, quote: "There's no prize at the end for taking the least medicine, you know..." Mum grumbly about it but I think she'll probably capitulate.
Dad more like himself than he has been in a long time - active, talkative, has even been using the computer again. The pair of them actually visited a friend the other day - accepted his offer to take them over for lunch. Many good memories roused, and both are in very good spirits because of it. YAY.
