Notes: I thought of this while reading the Myoji magazine featuring JUMP~ Its all thanks to kodochalover and her magnificent job at translating. Also, this is my first fanfic ever! So please tell me where I went wrong! *dogeza* But don't scold me too much or I might cry! XD Also, this is based solely on my dreams and my imagination at work..If this really happened in real life, heed that it was a pure coincidence and nothing more! XDD

Warning: Hold back that nosebleed from before you stat reading! XD There are none, really. But please watch out for my bad spelling! And maybe a little bad language? But its mostly safe, so don't worry!
Summary: The results for Myojo came out. Daiki got impatient. Yamada realized just how much of a devil he was...And it was all thanks to "Best Couple". Poor Daiki...
Part 1: Yosh! He took the bait~
“The results of the Myojo are out!”
The leader of JUMP excitedly waved a piece of paper in the air to get everyone’s attention.
“Let’s see, let’s see!”
“Hikaru-kun, don’t hog it to yourself~”
“Hurry up so we can see!”
Everyone gathered around and started reading off from the beginning.
It’s finally here!
Daiki could feel himself getting excited already to the point where he felt like snatching the paper away from Hikaru’s hand just so he could read that one out of the so many sections on the page.
Hurry up with it already!~
Our little penguin couldn’t hold it in anymore and unconsciously started wobbling around his circle of friends. He looked around but suddenly averted his eyes the moment they met his. He blushed. Daiki blushed hard.
“Dai-chan, Dai-chan! Listen to this, they voted for me as number one for ‘Who Wants to Be a Grandma’! They’re so mean~ Do I look like a grandma, Dai-chan? Do I? Do I!? Ne?”
Inoo pulled from the group with a pout on his face.
“That’s great, ne Inoo-chan?” Daiki smiled to a now horrified Inoo Kei, obviously not even listening to a word of the poor pretty boy.
I couldn’t care the least bit about that! Hurry up with it already!! How long does it take to read a damn piece of paper?! My watch says its been 17 freakin’ minutes already!! Mou, I can’t take it anymore!!!
“Dai-chan, are you ok?” Inoo looked at his best friend worriedly.
“I’m going to the toilet!!”
Daiki finally lost it… He hurriedly ran out of the room with a very scary expression.
Daiki locked himself in one of the stalls the moment he entered the restroom.
Our eyes met!! Calm down, Daiki. This is normal. Your eyes meet his every single day. Well..maybe not every single day…but! You should be used to it at least this much.
The sound of knocking brought Daiki out of his thoughts.
“Dai-chan?”
Ah, this is bad…

Let’s go back a little, shall we?

Yamada was sitting on of the two the couches in JUMP’s changing/resting room during one of their photo shoots. They were on rest break so there wasn’t anything for him to do.
He was lying down with a fashion magazine in his hands. Not really for reading, but for covering his eyes so a certain little penguin wouldn’t notice his intimate glances at him.
I must be a genius. Eh, wait a minute. What am I doing!! I’m acting like a pervert!!!
The said penguin on the other hand, was chatting without a care in the world with Takaki and Chinen, didn’t notice a single glare from across the couch he was sitting on. So Yama-chan still continued.
When suddenly, out of nowhere, Yabu came in with an excited look on his face.
“The results of the Myojo are out!”
Yamada, as someone who takes long measures to be the number one on any list, joined the rest of the group in viewing the results.
Surprising for him though, the penguin didn’t seem very interested in what the others were talking about. So why did he have such an excited look on his face when Yabu-chan first came in with the news?
Dai-chan? He looks impatient. Is he waiting for something specific?
That was when it happened…their eyes met.
Yamada immediately averted his eyes, feeling his body warm up.
Aré? What was that?
Doki Doki Doki Doki…
Why is my heart beating so fast again. Why does it always happen the moment I see Dai-chan?
“I’m going to the toilet!!”
Daiki’s loud voice brought him out of his daze.
Dai-chan?!!
“Oii! Yama-chan, look at this!”
Yuto stood in front of the boy with a grin on his face. He was pointing to something.
That’s when Yama-chan realized that he-
So that’s it!!!

Back to the present…
……….
“Dai-chan?”
“What is it, Yama-chan?”
“Daijobu?”
“Y-yeah!”
“The results…don’t you want to look at it until the end?”
“Yeah, I’m coming in just a sec.”
“Then I’ll wait for you.”
“Eh?”
“I’ll wait for you!”
“T-thanks…”
He says he’ll wait for me!! What should I do?! Should I just go out and s-
“Dai-chan? Do you want to sleepover at my place today?”
He’s inviting me!!!
Sweat trickled down Dai-chan’s collar. “What about your parents?”
“Ah, didn’t I tell you? Dad got four free tickets to an onsen at work yesterday so nobody’s at home for today since I gave mine to Nee-chan. They’ll come back tomorrow evening. Aaah~ I don’t want to be alone.”
And being the kind peng-man he was, of course Dai-chan agreed.
“It’s fine with me!~”
…Shimatta! I agreed to it unconsciously!
Yamada could only smirk as step one of his genius plan was crossed off in completion. The devil in him had woken up. And it was all thanks to ‘Myojo Best Couple’. Whoever came up with this deserves an award and all those who voted for the #1 on the list do too.
Yosh! He took the bait.~

When Daiki and Yamada walked back inside the JUMP dressing room, everybody immediately turned their attention towards them.
“Congratulations!”
“Isn’t it nice, Dai-chan?”
“Good for you, Yama-chan!”
“Omedetou Gozaimasu!”
…and so on. Everyone congratulated them for a reason Yamada new too well. Daiki, on the other hand, had no idea what was going on things.
Things got even more confusing for the poor penguin when Yabu-kun came up to him and presented him with a bouquet of Yarrow* while trying to hold back his tears.
“I wish you a happy future.”
“Huuhhhh?!!!!”
Yabu turned to Yama-chan, “please take care of our Daiki.”
“Yes, thank you for your understanding. Please leave it up to me.”
What’s going on?!! Someone explain this to me! Why is Yabu crying?! Why does he look like a dad who just sent his daughter off after marriage?!! Why is everyone either grinning like crazy or trying to hold Yabu back and miserably failing?!! Why was it Yarrow?! Do they even have those in Japan?!! When did he get them?!! When I was in the toilet? Again, why Yarrow!?! And why is Yama-chan taking them on as if its normal?!!!! Someone tell me something already!!!
Feeling the confusion from the penguin, Yuto decided to help his senpai out a bit.
“Dai-chan, here.”
He showed Daiki the same thing he showed Yamada earlier. Is this all his fault? Nah, Yama-chan would have found out and realized it sooner or later anyways.
“Aaah! That’s right, the results…First place…”
Daiki hurriedly snatched the piece of paper out of Yuto’s hands in excitement, making the latter grin. He looked all the way down to the part he was dying to find out about.
Daiki stared at the piece of paper in his hands. Stared hard and intently. He couldn’t believe it:
Best Couple
1st place to Yamada Ryosuke and Arioka Daiki
2nd place…---
No way, I did it! No, we did it!! Four years in a row!!
“Dai-chan, let’s go!”
“Eh?”
“It’s our turn for the photo shoot.”
“Oh, yeah!”
I wonder what he thinks about it. Aré, didn’t he grow taller. And his back feels bigger too…
Daiki stared at the back of his beloved in a daze, while walking behind him.
Damn brat, give me some of your newfound manliness!! How dare you grow taller than me! I don't wanna be the bottom~
Yamada shuddered when he felt something cold go up his spine. Was Yabu-mama really that upset with him? For what he said?
He must really hate me now, then. For taking away his darling baby~ But then again, I’m under the same tree, right?
But remembering his big plan for the night, Yamada let out a very creepy laugh. A side Daiki had never seen before.
“Orange panties~, we’re leaving straight after this. No buts.”
Daiki gulped and nodded. For some reason, his guts told him to run away. Immediately.
Did the temperature in the room drop?
He shuddered.
Eh, wait a sec. Orange panties?!!
Daiki looked inside his pants and realized exactly what his kouhai meant. He shuddered again.
How did he know?!!!
The poor penguin still had no idea of the real reason everyone was celebrating for just earlier. But even if he did, I’m sure he wouldn't have it any other way.
