Mango Pudding!!
omg, i've been craving mango pudding for such a long time and i finally got some today haha. so we went to pay our respects to our ancestors today, you know, the whole burning incense and praying and stuff that Chinese people do. and then i went out to yumcha for lunch and i honestly could've gone the whole day with just that mango pudding lol. well, okay, maybe not in terms of hunger, but like...emotionally or mentally lol. i literally just smiled at the sight of my mango pudding when it got served. that pretty milky orange color and super subtle taste of mango, not too sweet, my favorite Chinese dessert ever. i didn't need any dim sum, i had my mango pudding! xD
and then i came back home, my friend picked me up to go over to her house and we continued working on our song, and we now have our bridge worked out, and now we're just trying to figure out our chorus! :D and i'm loving how our song is turning out haha. i'm starting to enjoy this assignment, but i think it's kinda stressful for my friend haha, cuz she's figuring out the melody, and all that. and i was being kinda picky about it haha, but i think she prefers me to give my honest opinion rather than saying everything is good, cuz the first day we worked on it, i was trying to hold back a bit cuz she did work hard to come up with the melody haha. i think i'll have fun once we have the whole song figured out, which is probably going to be soon cuz we just need the chorus and then we basically can just repeat again, and then i still have the second bridge towards the end of the song, and i'm just going to add another part to the lyrics of my chorus cuz it was just too short to be a chorus, but it's basically just a refrain. i was embarrassed to share my lyrics at first though, but i got positive feedback from the group, and i think i'm starting to appreciate my own work more now haha. i think parts of it can be pretty powerful lyrics, but that's just me praising my own work lol *shot* but i really do like how the song is coming out, and i really hope to share it once it's done haha. i don't think i'll post the video of us performing it, but maybe i can upload and mp3 of it haha. i sound so weird on camera though, cuz we recorded it with my friend's roommate's iPad, but i don't think we sound bad though! :D
