 The Great Boot Hunt

For my tokyo trip we are staying in Ginza, and I refuse to run around in tennis shoes all the time. So I am on a hunt for some comfortable flat boots that I can wear with skirts and dresses. Jeans and tees aren't my normal fare anyway and I'm certainly not about to dress like a bum in a foreign country.

In my attempt to research Mori Girl style I kept finding articles that are more or less laughing at it and equating it in a derogatory way to the hippie style of the 1960's. I don't feel that mori girl exudes the same feel as that movement. It's a little more classic, a little more demure. I don't believe mori girl is preferred by self conscious ( Read more... )

While flipping through In-style magazine, I saw this look below and I really liked the look of the long vest with the fuller skirt and wanted to try my own take on it.
