LOL, Friday the 13th post
Well, this post is a little late, but I wanted to say I passed my BtW driving test on Monday!! I only was docked a point (you're allowed to miss up to 15 before you fail), so I now I am a legal driver d(^O^)b I'm just waiting for my license to arrive in the mail~ But, surprisingly, I wasn't allowed to take a picture! I asked the lady at the DMV, and she just told me that the picture on my permit was the one that was going to be on my license! I was sooo disappointed- if I would have known that, I would have made an effort to look better for my permit picture (u___u)
But, on to something a bit more exciting and relevant to LJ! I found another meme-thingy on tumblr here, and I am excited to do it~ I know this is suppose to be broken up into days, but I'm going to be busy this weekend (I've got a dinner with my family to celebrate my brother getting his Eagle Award and I'm getting a hair cut [both tomorrow], and I'm not sure what's going on on Sunday). So to be safe (and because I'm probably going to forget about doing this), I am just going to do all of the questions at once because I can :p (Also, to those that see my boring updates, I'm truly sorry you have to see all these memes if you aren't interested in them at all).
山P Mini-Challenge
Day 1. How did you get to know Yamapi?
I first encountered him in Nobuta, but to be honest I didn't care for him at first *dodges rocks*. I found Akira a bit annoying at first, and it wasn't until he confessed to Shuuji that he liked Nobuta that I started to take to him. I thought Pi was a great actor, though, because I saw him with Kame doing the Special Promotion thing before the show was suppose to start (yes, I did watch it before I watched the actual drama), and I thought he acted so totally different in real life that he must be a great actor to play the silly Akira in Nobuta. I didn't start becoming interested in/ liking Pi-chama, though, until I watched Kurosagi. It had that much of an impact on me.
Day 2. Which was the first solo song of him you heard?
Daite Senorita. As I was typing this, I initially thought it was One in a million, but I just remembered (thanks to my answer above) that Kurosagi had Daite Senorita as the theme song, so that was of course Yamapi's first solo song I heard.
Day 3. Which was the first drama with him you saw?
Again, as I said in question 1, Nobuta was the first drama I saw him in.
Day 4. Which is your favorite song by him?
Argh, that's a hard question as all of his songs are great! It's probably One in a million, but honestly all his title single songs (One in a million, Hadakanbo, Loveless, Daite Senorita) are all great, not to mention Tokyo Sinfonietta, Party Don't Stop, Crazy You, Yours Baby, One Girl, Blood Diamond, Touch You, TOMO, and Friday Night from his album. Just like his drama choices, his song choices are excellent as well :3
Day 5. Which character he played is your favorite?
Kurosaki from Kurosagi, because the character is multi-leveled and so complex. I think Pi-chama chooses excellent roles, though, and in almost every character he plays I can see some part of himself in them.There have only been 2 characters I don't really like that he's played: Sakai Shintaro from Byakkotai (he was the descendant of Mineji and I absolutely hated his character) and Yajima Yusuke (I didn't dislike him per se, I just felt his character was lacking), but I can attribute my dislike to both characters to the writers and don't blame Pi at all =)
Day 6. Which one of his dramas is your favorite?
Again, Kurosagi. It's an absolutely amazing drama to me. And I know I'm sounding like a broken record, but I think all of the dramas he's been in are excellent except for Dragon Zakura. The reason I don't like Dragon Zakura, before anyone asks, is because I didn't really like any of the characters. Sakuragi-sensei was a complete ass, and I wasn't really invested in the characters (not even Pi's, unfortunately). I only continued watching because I was hoping Sakuragi and Ino-sensei would get together, but I was sorely disappointed. I also found the way they studied very interesting. The ending was sorely disappointing to me (and can anyone tell me how the hell the 2 students that were pretty high in the class failed, yet the bottom student passed the entrance exam?!), and I, like most people, compared this drama to Gokusen and found Gokusen more enjoyable.
Day 7. With which other JE member you’d like him to have a duet with and with which one you’d like him to be in a drama with?
Well of course my answer is Kame for both! I would LOVE for Pi and Kame to do more work together! I think it would be fun to see them in another drama together to see how far they've progressed as actors. I also like both of their voices and thought they sang Seishun Amigo beautifully together, so I want another duet with them. I also would like Pi to do a duet with Tego, since Tego probably has the best voice in NEWS (and I don't believe they've even done a trio together).
Day 8. What do you like the most about him and what do you like the least?
Like most: How hard he works, how silly and adorable he can be, his smile (especially his dorky closed-eyed smile), and how much he loves his family. And that he's good with kids (as a woman, I find that extremely important and heart-warming).
Like least: How closed off/ shy he becomes sometimes in interviews. I don't mind that he's shy or private about things, but sometimes it comes off in a bad way to me. I also don't like that he likes "weak" girls. I mean, I consider myself a strong, fiery person in most ways, and it's kind of annoying to think Pi-chama wouldn't be interested in a person like me because he doesn't feel he constantly has to protect a person like me. Those answers he gives in the magazines upset me sometimes, to be honest. His partying streak also bothers me a lot. I am not the type to go out partying (at least I've never done it), so it doesn't appeal to me at all.
Day 9. Which is your favorite performance by him in a concert?
Can I be a total perv and say Gomen Ne Juliet strictly because he unzips his shirt? It's a beautiful song, but I don't really pay attention to the lyrics when he sings on the DVDs,
Day 10. Which is your favorite performance by him in a tv show?
Any time he performs Daite Senorita because he's sexily touching his chest Any performance when he's touching himself I'll like Seriously, though, his Music Station performance on 6/2/2006 is my favorite because he cutely and unexpectedly dances with Kame <3
Day 11. Who do you ship him with? (female and male)
Female: Horikita Maki-chan because they have good chemistry on screen and I think Pi's worked with her the most. I know he's worked with Masami-san a lot, but it was for 2 dramas and a Special whereas he's worked with Maki-chan for 2 dramas and a movie. Plus I think Maki-chan's the prettiest and cutest female Pi-chama's worked with~
Male: Now, let me be clear, I'm not a Yaoi shipper, and I like guys with Pi strictly on a friends basis (if he swung the other way, us fangirls would all be doomed because there's no way we could compete with the other Johnny's talents). With that said, I like PiKame the best, followed by KoyaPi, TegoPi, MassuPi and ShigePi :)
Day 12. Which is your favorite hairstyle of him?
I like his hairstyle for the Kurosagi movie/ the ProDai Special the best, but I also like the Hadakanbo hairstyle, Kurosagi hairstyle (although I detest his hair in the NEWS 2007-2008 Calendar, urgh) and his blond hair from Nobuta and Lunch no Joou. I like his hair the best when he has about medium-length bangs, and when they cover his forehead ♥ But I also like when he twists his bangs back~ Geez I could go on forever about his hair (which styles I like and don't like, and which I'm fine with), but I'll stop there.
Day 13. Which is your favorite PV of him?
Hadakanbo. I love his hair and his purple sparkly outfit. I also like the PV version of the song better than the album version.
Day 14. Which is your favorite picture of him?
I was also looking for the picture that had double Yamapi's with the mirror (cause it's like the 2 sides of him), but unfortunately I can't find the picture :(((
Day 15. 山P or TOMO?
山P, because I think TOMO is too intimate and Yamapi is the name that has been exclusively his for years. Plus if I used TOMO, I couldn't use my Pi-chama nickname for him!
