Ah, I just heard a clip of Gackt's first single in almost a year, and it's really, really pretty. I'm so happy to have a release from him, and it's even more awesome that it's the song he sang at the High School's graduation ceremony.
"Daremo inai guraundo no namae kisanda sakura no shita
itsuka kimi to mou ichido koko ni kuru koto wo yakusoku shiyou..."
That's all I've heard so far, but I'm completely taken in by the beautiful melody, and surprisingly, the sound of his voice. It's been so long since the sound of Gackt's voice has been so completely able to entrace me - actually, it goes all the way back to his release of "Last Song". So there's lots of happiness. I think I might actually buy this single, despite recently having blown $70 on his Sixth Day and Seventh Night Concert DVD. X.x Gackt...
Anyway, in completely non-Gackt related NewS news (cannot BELIEVE I instinctively capitalized the N and S), I was reading an interesting article on this new take on a physical representation of the four dimensions (the fourth one being physical time) and for once, I actually found myself interested in science 'cause being able to think of something that abstract is pretty damn cool. More and more I'm starting to realize that science really is nothing but the ultimate art form.
As I flipping through the mag with the dimensions article, stumbled across a whole bunch of random facts I was blissfully unaware of... but probably should have known, which include:
1. Microscopes have apparently been useful only for analyzing dead cells, which means microscopic live-cell analysis has been impossible, until recently. Apparently some Japanese company has invented a microscope that can, through some incredibly complicated-sounding process, analyze living cells. Ya. I totally knew that you could only analyze dead cells with a microscope. Definitely.
2. A famous TV show once had a character that ate cotton, and since the show had a cult following, fans wished they were able to eat cotton too, but, because cotton contains a fatal poison, it had always been impossible. I actually had virtually no idea that cotton was poisonous, or never really gave it much thought, but apparently someone's actually taken the time to develop a genetically modified, edible cotton. So now we can eat cotton. Although they're not sure if something other the poison might kill you. Yay?
Anyhow! I'll end my science geek rant here.
There are two 'rumours' that have made me insanely happy recently~! Kame might apparently get a chance to star in a movie, and Yamapi's supposed to have a new drama scheduled for this year! (Kurosagi 2 anyone?) Yokatta~! *does Seishun Amigo Dance*
