Yep, day #4 with this blasted migraine shit. Thankfully, it appears to finally be going the fuck away. I'm FINALLY feeling normal again. And I couldn't be happier! Still glad to be going to the Doctor-Man on Monday to get things squared away.

So I've been doing some thinking... Over here, Llewellyn's Astrology blog was talking about the " ( Read more... )

I'm glad to hear that there does seem to be some sort of relief on the horizon for you from the damn migraine. Stupid bloody head issues.

You know, every time you post something on the more...[ponders correct non-froo froo term] Other-ish aspects, you get me thinking. And then thinking leads to looking, and then, bang, I've lost days to getting myself entirely immersed again, damn you. [grins] Which, btw, not actually a bad thing, just good-natured griping as no I am attempting to resist the urge to poke around ion places I should not. Then again, such Other things to go rather hand in hand with a current project and search of mine. [sigh] It is literally a matter of time before I spend several days worth of hours trawling though books and sites.

And double damn you for linking that comm! Because of course I had to go and look. And that just got me back onto thinking about the damn Epic Proportions challenge. [sigh] Thing is, I can't actually sign up for any of them in good conscience as I won't finish in time. The ( ... )

I don't know that I've read any of his books before this. I'm really getting into it, that's for sure...

you must absolutely read Memory, Sorrow & Thorn. one of the absolute best epic fantasy series in the last 30 years.

to be honest... the scope and depth of it are greater even than my perennial favorite, mercedes lackey's valdemar.

there are only three books.

the dragonbone chair, the stone of farewell, and to green angel tower (this book was broken into two books in paperback form because it was absolutely humongous)

your local library should have them.

Hey, glad to hear those f'ing migranes are getting gone...

So I had to check out my birth and new year cards and I got:

Birth card = Chariot
New Year Card = The Hanged Man / The Traitor

Most interesting pair I think!

*nods* See, at one point, I'd done a whole list for myself & shatterpath from birth to whatever year it was I did the charts in. My intention to was to do a comparison of the cards to the major events in my life in those years. Eventually I'll have to do that, I suppose...
