Hello friends! <3
I had such a great experience with my last order from Metamorphose, that I decided to do another :-)
This time I ordered their Winter Lucky Pack.
Official link:
Winter Lucky Pack I got the Light Color set since I got the Dark Color set last time. Although I should have done that the other way around. (Gotten the Light Color set for summer and the Dark Color set for winter.) Oh well :-P This time I was hoping for a pink skirt with a teddy bear print, such as Honey Bear's Picnic. It's so cute and cheerful looking <3 Or perhaps something with a ladylike flower print.
Onto the details...
Timeline:
12/19~Order placed
~Order confirmed
~Package sent out
1/2~ Came home from work to find an orange postcard in my mailbox. Apparently delivery had been attempted but not completed due to no one being available to sign for it.
1/7~ Got out of work early, so I picked up the package from the post office.
The package (front, back, and untaped)~ Medium sized thick plastic shopping bag all folded up and taped securely. The mailing labels got a bit crinkled, but otherwise it doesn't look too bad from it's journey overseas.
Inside (stacked up, and spread out)~ "Thank you for your order" note, along with two plastic bags containing items.
My lucky pack contents included...
1 Blouse (folded, and unfolded front/ back)~ White high-collared long-sleeve blouse with removable ribbon tie, plenty of ruffles, and laces in the back.
1 Tote bag~ Tan x brown zippered tote bag with screen print of sleeping bear, bunny, and the brand name.
1 Skirt~ Tan x golden x brown with a fully shirred waist. Print includes swans, crowns, and the brand name in sparkly golden thread.
1 Hair barrette~ Tan lace bow with matching swan cameo.
1 Necklace~ White pearl-type beads with golden chain, and blue crown cameo set in a silvery frame.
1 Pair of socks~ Tan x golden x brown. OTK. Same print as the skirt.
Group pic~ Everything assembled into the intended coord!
Comments:
Almost everything went smoothly for this order. No problems from Metamorphose, nor from it's journey to the US. The majority of the issues I did have were related to the delivery/receiving of the package once it got to my local post office.
*I had a tracking number, but once the package got to the US, it was pretty much useless.
*I was not given an estimated delivery date. I had no idea when to expect it, so I did not put a sign on my apt door directing the mailman to deliver to the apt complex's office instead so that a staff member could sign for it while I was at work.
Not knowing when to expect it = no sign on the door = no delivery at all = me no get package :-(
*The writing on the postcard the mailman left was illegible. I wanted to know when I could go and pick it up, but could not read the handwriting/date.o
How can I pick something up if I don't know when it's available for pick up?
*When I tried calling the post office to explain things, they said *I* had to personally sign for my package. Not the apt complex's office staff, not my boyfriend, nobody but me. Seriously?!I
I can't sign for something if I'm ten miles away at work!
*I ended up walking over to the post office (yes, in the freezing cold wind and snow) to pick up my package. I could have drove over I suppose, but really did not want to drive in *that* weather. Yeah, probably not the best idea. I was kinda impatient at this point.
Quality:
Good :-) I ordered early, so I could get the perk of selecting Light or Dark for the blouse. I requested Light. The blouse was not cotton, but some other material (not sure what). The tote bag has a nice crisp print. Skirt is lined with a clear print, and soft lace. The elastic is snug, but that's to be expected since it is new. (It should stretch out a bit to adjust to my waist size once I start wearing it.) There were a bunch of loose threads clinging to the skirt, but you could easily pick them off. The hair barrette is elegant with soft lace and a nice cameo on it. The necklace seems kinda light in weight and cheap, but it's decent. The socks were not cotton, but still very stretchy.
Overall:
I am surprised that almost everything in my lucky pack was in a tan x brown color. Where is the color??? I was expecting some sort of color like yellow, pink, or maybe a floral print. I would never have picked out a coord like this on my own. It's nice, but not really my stye. I will probably end up selling or trading the blouse (too small), the tote bag (cute, but I don't really see myself using it), and the socks (doesn't suit my skintone).
Even with all this, I would definitely order from them again. It's a great deal for basically a whole coord. It would have cost a lot more if you bought everything individually. The only trade-off is not knowing exactly what you're going to get. But I'm fine with that. I like surprises.
