Modern!Belle is reading A Darker Shade of Magic, by V.E. Schwab. I put a hold on this book from the library, there are a lot of holds on it already, so it may be a few months before I can read it.
I love this aesthetic so much. It has that "fangirl" vibe, again. I also love that the Starbucks barrista wrote Belle's name on the cup the same way that the she signs her name in the parks. That was a nice touch. Disney has historically situated Belle in the 18th century, but because she is a fictional/fantastical/animated character, we, as a fandom, can imagine her at any place, at any time.
This fanart put me in such a good mood this morning. Belle fits right in with that hipster culture.
