Things I am blessed with now that I wasnt with before.

After going into the wayback machine of my Livejournal, I realize that I have so much more now than I had a few years ago. Sure money is tight now, but it is not too bad. I would take this life over what I had in NYC. Not that I don't miss my friends there, but we had to leave for greener pastures. So now for the +20 list of thankfulness.

* The ability to bake whenever I want. Eating whatever, whenever. Having my own kitchen, even if it is tiny. Taking control of food and not committing chinese takeout abuse. Being on a first name basis with my KitchenAid stand mixer. Reckless Culinary Experimentation.

*Not having to walk on eggshells. Who knew when gramps or Bitch n' Bastard would explode. Getting to watch my shows in peace. The quiet is good. Getting to use the bathroom whenever I wanted (This is a big one to me), taking long baths.

*No longer being pawns in my crazy inlaws passive aggressive stupid games. Thanks to being on our own, we are now closer to them. But we can simply shut them out if they want to play Jedi Mind Tricks- Family style.

* Getting to go out latenights without worrying if Walking Hispanic Stereotype locked the chain on us. well, getting to go out pretty much anywhere, any time without anyone going beserk.

*Sleeping in without having to endure Slut and Rotten Crotchfruit's morning battle of getting up too early for school at 5 am to go to queens where everyone thinks they live.

*Just being me and Jase, it is so blessedly, wonderfully normal.

*Having our own little place. Just us. In a neighborhood with shopping, galleries, walking distance of a synagoge, and so much to do.

*Drama free friends. The drag community. They gay community. People in general. Meeting the artists here in DC Galleries without them being New York Pretentious eurotrash douches.

*Finally getting the chance to fulfill a tiny dream and work at a Starbucks. A very good Starbucks with very good people. I am thankful for my time there. It was time to go, hated the direction the company was going. Wouls happily shove a boot in the ass of seattle if i can.

Pretty sure there is more, but it would be a megilla if I typed it all out.
