Michael and Sasha had an extra ticket to the antique show, so they took me along. I absolutely loved it. My favorite pieces were the silverware. the Victorians had a fork or implement for everything. The show was huge. About halsway through, we decided that we were done and Micael said, yeah we got our culture for the day. It is always good to see them. Probably going to BeBar on Thursday to catch the crew.
Made a gorgeous roast. I cooked it in broth for 7 hours straight, but i seared it first. I added veggies in the last hour of cooking, then I made a simple gravy of pan drippings reduced and deglazed with wine some pepper thickened by cornstarch. The beef was so tender that it fell apart off the fork. Best roast ever.
Making hamentaschen dough later tonight. Double batching it. The fillings for them are Blueberry, cherry and apricot. I am going nontraditional, as i hate poppyseed and i can't find prune lekvar. I was considering using lemon curd and apple butter, but those may be too oddball. If i have dough left over, I will use it for the cheesecake/fruit tartlet experiment.
Going to pick up my meds tomorrow, I have 3 days left. I am planning to go right after day program. it only takes half an hour.
