Purim is coming up?
According to a buddy on FaceBook, Purim is next tuesday. It's funny, I dont really know when the holidays are anymore. They just slip right by me. I have no one to give Shalach Manot to this year. I'll probably bake Hamentaschen, I look for any excuse to bake. I got flour, all i need is eggs and a couple of flavors of jam. I'll do what my mom did and use a glass to cut the dough into circles. I have not had Hamentaschen in years. I guess we can also get ourselves a bottle of wine. But we draw the line at masks.
I went to a benefit at Phase 1 last night. It was Karaoke night with 25c Bud Light, a deadly combination. I sang "The Sign" by Ace of Base. I came out on the microphone all high pitched and tinny. I sounded AWFUL. I am so never doing Karaoke again. Last time I did Karaoke was 7 years ago when I sang "Wannabe" at a restaurant when I was with my sorority. I was pretty godawful then too. The girl who sang "What's Going on" was amazing. I will have more fun at next week's event at Color Me Mine. Paint your own pottery. It is in Addams Morgan, I will have to take 2 buses. I hope to paint a teacup and saucer to match the teapot I painted a year and a half ago.
