Lately, I am particularly annoyed by "sneak peak."
PEAK is the top of a mountain, or the high point of anything.
PEEK is a glimpse.
It would certainly be possible to sneak a peek at a peak. And I suppose when a mountaintop is hidden in fog, it becomes a sneak peak. But when they say "sneak peak" I don't think that is what they have in mind.
I'm talkin' to you, DirecTV and the Tennis Channel. :P
