For my non-Southern California friends, we had an earthquake today at 11:42AM measuring a magnitude of 5.4. The epicenter was in the Los Angeles County, and according to the USGS, I'm guessing I was 10-15 miles from it.
It was kind of cool. Not damaging and not sissy. The aftershock scared me more cause I didn't expect it. I was actually still in bed because I had stayed up late watching "The L Word". (Fabulous show by the way.) Automatically, I curled in the fetal position and covered myself up just in case. Apparently phone networks got jammed because everyone was calling everyone to see if they were okay.
Anyway, that was my spiel on the quake. I'm glad we had one though...we've been overdue for a while.
