Oh yes yes yes

I've been good with the budget. Victoria's Secret card is done (not that I had much on there to begin with, but still). CHASE is going down. I am in control!! Man, I can't tell you how hard it is though, going from credit-happy idiot to frugal wisewoman. It is hard. I am so used to making impulse purchases and convincing myself I need things when I don't. In this month I've already almost bought things over the internet (Sephora, OneLuckyDuck.com, Ebay, and some other place) like three times. As in, I had items in my online shopping cart and was at checkout when I said, "NO! I don't need this." And closed the window.

It's bad.

Anyway, the good news is this: when I budget correctly, I have some surplus play-money. But! For better spending purposes, it's best for me to wait until I can put the spending money from each paycheck together. Hence, I will have money for Vegas at the end of the month. I'm hoping to bring like $400... that's not much for Vegas, but that way Matt won't be paying for everything (he spends too much on me! <3) and I can take some of the blow (haha, blow).

Typically I wouldn't have $400 of extra money, but if I don't go out or buy fast food or drive much, I can do this. AND I'm kind of counting on an extra $100 I should get from the new WaMu/CHASE checking account I opened with a bonus $100 for opening an account deal going on. We'll see on that bit. They're supposed to deposit the bonus within 60 days of your first deposit, so something tells me my plan will fall through. I'll get the money eventually, though, but possibly not in time for Vegas. :(

The other awesome thing: I have signed up for RaqsLA!!!! Yes, another bellydance workshop weekend in Glendale. Oh, I am so excited. I signed up for three workshops, but I'm going to pay by check so I don't have to pay now. :3 Sneaky sneaky. Actually, I might sign up for one more workshop if I get my bonus $100 after Vegas and before the end of April (which is when RaqsLA is). That would work out nicely. And then I can save again during the month so I have some spending money.... because, you know, no credit allowed. Wheee!!! The thought of responsible spending is getting me giddy. I can have my cake and eat it toooo, yay. :D

Okay. So yeah~ Vegas! And then workshops (with Zoe, Suhaila Salimpour, and Moria) in April! Yay!

Man, I really, really can't wait until Spring break.

This week is going to be hell. It already is. I didn't turn in my paper today because I overslept... so I'm turning it in tomorrow morning to avoid more point deductions. I'm stupid. I could've finished it, but somehow I couldn't hack it in the end because I was tired. Whatever... so long as it's well-written and turned in tomorrow!

Of course, then I have to start on the draft of my final English paper due Wednesday. Final paper due Friday. THEN my final SOC exam will be assigned that day and I'll be working the whole weekend to finish that exam, which is 55 fucking percent of my grade (although I have a solid A in the class, but still). THEN... my POSC final exam on the 18th.

[Bohhh and Dezzie will be here on Thursday for about a week and I am SO excited to see her and hang out with whatever Coy_Mafia members that are around (just Maria and I, I think?), but it will be hard to spend much time with her/them with all my school crap going on. I'll figure it out.]

After that, I'm free. I. Cannot. Fucking. Wait.

Last but not least: Matthew surprised me with a beautiful bouquet of roses today. Pink/Champagne ones. That smell lovely. <3 I loves my Matthew. :D /mushy

Gosh, I really need to kick it into gear. Finals, Vegas, and RaqsLA next month. I've got to get my brain through the next week and a half, and then get my workout on. I miss yoga. Yoga is called for. Running too (I slacked on that today). And drills and crunches, etc.

finances, finals, health, exams, school, belly dance
