Generally speaking, I think the reason why I really, truly hate writing papers for classes (and, yeah, by double majoring in Sociology and Poli-Sci means I'm just asking for term papers) is because when I am in the process of sitting and writing them, I am seized by an irresistible urge to munch away on food and snacks.
Sample thought process cycle:
1. "Alright let's get writing!"
2. "Hmmm... at a loss for words just now."
3. "I should get up and walk around."
4. "I wonder what's in the fridge..."
5. "Oooh edamame! (brie! strawberries! granola bar! [insert something I don't need to eat, especially past midnight, here])"
6. *Munch munch munch* *Stare at computer screen, thinking of what to write*
7. "Okay, breaktime's over. Back to writing."
8. *Write, write, write.*
*repeat steps 1-8 after 10 minutes of working*
Which obviously leads to me gaining back whatever pounds I lost from running and being good, especially because I am SITTING the whole time.
Ugh!
Well, I did better this time with this paper as opposed to my last Soc exam (even though I aced it). I've got 6 pages, only about 5 more to go. Sounds like a lot, but it's going pretty well for now. For now.
Hopefully I have no need or urge to return here later in the wee hours and whine.
kthxbye. <3
