Well, this week has been busy busy again.
The end of last week was spent in finalising a chapter I somehow agreed to write for a book (physics stuff) 18 months ago. Of course this was before I agreed to become a Swancon treasurer, or found myself with a 40% academic load. I've also been doing on average 2 lectures per week since just before swancon, and the odd tutorial. I've got one or two more to write for Friday, and after that I only have to worry about my lab and assignment marking
until the end of semester.
Then it's trying to get as much as I can done before I head off to Scotland in June for about 3 weeks. I will be going to Sabhal Mor Ostaig for some short immersion courses in Scottish Gaelic, something I've been wanting to do for years, but thanks to some friends and family nudging me and my determination to expand my horizons a bit more, I finally bit the bullet and have flights and courses booked!
I can't say as I'm feeling as sick as some of my friends and colleagues are, just mildly icky, but it could just be waiting for next week to fully hit. I've spent a fair amount of time this year off colour, but I'm hoping when most of the stress goes away, that I will feel better and get back into my exercise regime. And get more sleep.
But before I do that tonight I'm going to put some bread into the oven and hope that this time it doesn't turn out like the last time, though it did make for an OK foccaccia substitute then, but I'm hoping for less flat.
