Part 1: The Basics
1. What is your full name?
Somatic Performance Xavier Zero One One, Eleven for short.
2. Where were you born?
The maternity ward of the Site Xavier Facility.
3. How old are you?
I was born five years ago, but thanks to the wonderful world of science I have the body of an eighteen-year-old with a mind to match.
4. Do you have any siblings? What are/were they like?
I have neither siblings nor parents. No family.
5. Do you have any dreams?
I have more nightmares than dreams, both in the sleeping and waking world. If by dream you mean goal then I’m not sure. There is very little to aspire to.
6. Where do you live now, and with whom?
I live at the laboratory known as Site Xavier with the rest of the pack and our keepers, a small army of guards, scientists and miscellaneous other people that come and go when they are needed.
7. What is your occupation?
Officially I am labeled as a soldier prototype; within the ranks and job description I am an infiltrator with sufficient training to also serve the roles of mercenary, bodyguard and thief.
8. To which social class do you belong?
It’s a toss up between soldier, criminal and science experiment.
9. Do you have any allergies, diseases, or other physical weaknesses?
Not that I am aware of.
10. Are you right- or left-handed?
My dominant hand is my right, but I am borderline ambidextrous.
11. What words and/or phrases do you use very frequently?
I’m not a big talker, so I’m not sure I can answer this one. Nothing comes to mind.
12. What clothes style do you wear?
Black fatigues while at the lab, camouflage when out in the field. This could be anything from street clothes to army fatigues, depending on the situation and location.
13. What do you have in your pockets?
A mint and a note reminding me to check in with the doctors first thing in the morning for a physical.
14. Do you have any quirks, strange mannerisms, annoying habits, or other defining characteristics?
Quirks and strange mannerisms I have aplenty, but for the sake of being lazy I’ll only list a couple of them. For starters I am unable to sleep by myself; as far back as I can recall I have always had someone in the room when I sleep. By this point I am too accustomed to having someone close by that being alone is very uncomfortable. The same applies to my waking hours as well, now that I think about it. Secondly, I have been told that I tend to creep people out by watching them. Apparently I make them feel like animals at a zoo. Third on the list is my obsession with blood. Something about it just calls to the primal part of me. It is the essence of life, and as such should be treated with reverence. Lastly, I’ve developed an odd gratification in tying myself up in ribbons or other like materials. Generally I only do it on my arms and legs only, but sometimes around my throat and torso if I’m feeling insecure. It can make me more aware of my body, which is useful in channeling energy and understanding the movement of muscles, but it is also calming in a way.
Part 2: Growing Up
15. How would you describe your childhood in general?
My childhood is little more than a blur, a collection of scattered memories that fall like the missing pieces of a puzzle long since thrown away.
16. What is your earliest memory?
The earliest clear memory I have is being introduced to Three and Seven when I was still a child. I remember being both frightened and awed by them, even though Seven was only a few years older than I was. It was the way he carried himself, I think. Even then he was so self-assured that I had difficulty not believing whatever he told me. Three was more of the enigmatic type, much like she is now, but back then she had a habit of tormenting me for any mistakes I made. She didn’t tolerate anything that made her look like a fool then and she hasn’t gotten much better about it now.
17. How much schooling have you had?
I am at a high school level as far as academics is concerned, but besides that I have also had military and Wing Chun training with a dash of human anatomy, first aid and acting on the side. I know enough to get me by in the world of book smarts and more than enough to make me a successful member of the pack.
18. Did you enjoy school?
Depends on what it is I’m learning.
19. Where did you learn most of your skills and other abilities?
In the classrooms and training centers located in the education annex for the most part. I was also taught in-the-field knowledge by my partners.
20. While growing up, did you have any role models? If so, describe them.
I didn’t have role models so much as I had examples of what can happen when things go wrong. Mostly I followed the examples set by the older soldiers that were favored by the admin and tried to emulate them so that I didn’t get into trouble and bring the wrath of our keepers down on my head.
21. While growing up, how did you get along with the other members of your family?
I didn’t have a family while growing up and my relationships with the other members of the pack, as well as those of our keepers, varied from person to person. For the most part I was the submissive but I was not below getting into fights with higher ranking members of the hierarchy. I can give as good as I get when motivated to do so.
22. As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
This is a bit embarrassing to admit, but at one point I wanted to be a fairy after one of the nurses told me about them in the nursery ward. That much I do remember.
23. As a child, what were your favorite activities?
From what I can remember I used to love cutting construction paper up into little pieces, racing the other soldiers in my age group and finding ways to pull pranks or get dirty.
24. As a child, what kinds of personality traits did you display?
I think I was a very trusting sort of child who was betrayed one too many times by the adults who were supposed to be a source of protection and comfort.
25. As a child, were you popular? Who were your friends, and what were they like?
I’m not real sure, to be honest. I don’t remember many names or faces from that time.
26. When and with whom was your first kiss?
I’ve never been kissed by someone for romantic reasons. I have, however, been kissed by Seven when he got too caught up in the excitement of the moment after a mission that was pulled off exceedingly well. He still does it from time to time, and not just to me. Three is just as likely to fall prey to it. It’s one of his quirks that I’ve gotten use to.
27. Are you a virgin? If not, when and with whom did you lose your virginity?
Yes. Barring an act of suicidal sexually assault from a lust-addled scumbag I will remain virginal so long as I live. I may be a very physical person at times, but never in a manner that could be construed as sexual.
28. If you are a supernatural being (i.e. mage, werewolf, vampire), tell the story of how you became what you are or first learned of your own abilities. If you are just a normal human, describe any influences in your past that led you to do the things you do today.
There is nothing supernatural about me. I am what I am because of science, not because of magic or what have you.
Part 3: Past Influences
29. What do you consider the most important event of your life so far?
Being assigned to my team I suppose.
30. Who has had the most influence on you?
Three and Seven have been the biggest influences, due to the fact that we are more or less connected at the hip, for better or worse.
31. What do you consider your greatest achievement?
Surviving as long as I have is pretty high on the list, but since I am not much on bragging you’ll have to accept it as an answer.
32. What is your greatest regret?
Some days being alive is regret enough.
33. What is the most evil thing you have ever done?
If I weren’t harboring hatred for the human race I would say that killing another person regardless of whether they are guilty or innocent was the most evil thing I’ve ever done. While I do feel bad sometimes about it I’m not too bothered by the fact that I am a cold blooded murderer.
34. Do you have a criminal record of any kind?
My criminal record is large enough to have a file cabinet drawer all its own. That is, if it existed. Covering up things is a talent the staff at Xavier excels at.
35. When was the time you were the most frightened?
The most recent would have to be the encounter with the two robots in the Nexus. Facing one of them wasn’t too bad, but when the second showed up... I had nightmares for more than a week afterwards, and still do. I don’t really want to talk about it.
36. What is the most embarrassing thing ever to happen to you?
It’s a tie between me being scared of my own shadow the first time I saw it and the time I ended up sliding through a massive puddle of water and fell flat on my back. It was not the least bit graceful and Seven has made sure I’ll never live it down.
37. If you could change one thing from your past, what would it be, and why?
Pushing Five away. He was the closest thing I had to an ally outside of my assigned team and always looked out for me when my own dominant wasn’t around. Plus he was pretty good when it came to pulling pranks and showing me the ropes of doing the same.
38. What is your best memory?
The time I scrambled all the computer cables in one of the labs and got into the glitter; it took them three days to get all the glitter out of the systems after they spent most of a day getting the computers back online.
39. What is your worst memory?
Finding out that Five had been killed and knowing that the last time we talked we had an argument over something asinine.
Part 4: Beliefs and Opinions
40. Are you basically optimistic or pessimistic?
I learn towards pessimistic more often than not.
41. What is your greatest fear?
I imagine most people would chose death, but I know better than that. In my personal opinion death doesn’t hold a candle to being alone or losing all of my memories. Following on the heels of those fears are those of losing what humanity I do have and falling into the dark abyss of no return and, shameful as it is to say this, giant robots. They're monsters that would destroy the pack if they could.
42. What are your religious views?
I don’t have them.
43. What are your political views?
I don’t have those, either.
44. What are your views on sex?
It is a means of furthering the species that is over emphasized in the outside world; not something I am particularly interested in.
46. In your opinion, what is the most evil thing any being could do?
Driving another race into extinction.
47. Do you believe in the existence of soul mates and/or true love?
Romantic ideals are a waste of time as far as I'm concerned.
48. What do you believe makes a successful life?
Learning how to stay two steps ahead of those who want to destroy you.
49. How honest are you about your thoughts and feelings (i.e. do you hide your true self from others, and in what way)?
It would depend upon the situation and those involved. There are so very few people that I trust enough to show true emotion around.
50. Do you have any biases or prejudices?
Name someone who doesn't.
51. Is there anything you absolutely refuse to do under any circumstances? Why do you refuse to do it?
I'm not sure anymore. Most of the things I once refused to do I have done.
52. Who or what, if anything, would you die for (or otherwise go to extremes for)?
The pack, my partners especially.
Part 5: Relationships With Others
53. In general, how do you treat others (politely, rudely, by keeping them at a distance, etc.)? Does your treatment of them change depending on how well you know them, and if so, how?
As a general rule I keep people at a distance. The pack I treat with wary respect and careful neutrality: I know my rank as a submissive and have no desire to be pulled into a power struggle or to be targeted by one of the dominants for harassment. My strongest loyalty is saved for my partners, as well as what little affection I have to give. Doctors and the administration are people to be obeyed, but do not fall under the title of pack. People in the Nexus I try to be polite with, but do not always succeed in the endeavor. Robots are things to be avoided at all costs.
54. Who is the most important person in your life, and why?
Seven wins this hands down. He is a member of the pack but he is so much more than that. He is my dominant, my guardian. While at times he can be harsh and aggressive towards me he makes up for it by being gentle and supportive when I have need of him. Without him I would fall prey to the older, stronger soldiers, and all he asks in return is my loyalty. I give it willingly.
55. Who is the person you respect the most, and why?
That would have to be One. He was once a soldier like the rest of us that now works with the scientists. I never worked with him when he was on active duty but I know that he was one of the best at whatever it was he did. Frankly, I find him intimidating even now. He has worked on all of us at one time or another in the labs as a scientist and knows us inside and out. One knows our individual weaknesses, and I don't doubt that he would put this knowledge to use if he needs or wants to.
56. Who are your friends? Do you have a best friend? Describe these people.
I have no friends in the usual definition of the term as I understand it.
57. Do you have a spouse or significant other? If so, describe this person.
I have no need of a spouse, nor do I desire one.
58. Have you ever been in love? If so, describe what happened.
The love one has for a mate is not something I have or ever will experience. The only love I know is that of a subordinate for a dominant that protects and guides them.
59. What do you look for in a potential lover?
Nothing.
60. How close are you to your family?
I have no family, as I have mentioned multiple times already.
61. Have you started your own family? If so, describe them. If not, do you want to? Why or why not?
It is a moot point. I have no desire for a mate, and am sterile besides.
62. Who would you turn to if you were in desperate need of help?
Seven.
63. Do you trust anyone to protect you? Who, and why?
Seven, for reasons that I have already explained.
64. If you died or went missing, who would miss you?
My partners might miss me to some extent, and the admin would mourn for the loss of income. I cost them a pretty penny to create in the first place.
67. Do you tend to take on leadership roles in social situations?
No. Being the leader in a social situation is one of the most uncomfortable things I can think of.
68. Do you like interacting with large groups of people? Why or why not?
Not particularly; large crowds make it easy to disappear if I need to, but they can also hide potential threats.
69. Do you care what others think of you?
Only those who determine whether I live or die.
Part 6: Likes And Dislikes
70. What is/are your favorite hobbies and pastimes?
Meditation and practicing both Wing Chun and archery.
71. What is your most treasured possession?
My Butterflies. Sadly, my original pair was lost. The new blades feel unfamiliar and foreign in my hands. I miss the old ones. So far as anyone can figure I lost them to the giant robots. I should just write them off and move on but... it's hard. I had a long history with those blades and feel their loss like a physical pain some days.
72. What is your favorite color?
Red.
73. What is your favorite food?
I'm partial to a well cooked steak myself but I wouldn't say that I actually have a favorite food.
74. What, if anything, do you like to read?
I don't read as a hobby very often, but when I do I like books that explain how things are made. This includes cook books even though I can't actually cook.
75. What is your idea of good entertainment (consider music, movies, art, etc.)?
Honestly? Watching Seven's reaction to music and movies. He always tends to be more amusing than either. It gets a bit annoying when he drags me into dancing with him or when he memorizes the tune of a song and hums it until I am ready to strangle him.
76. Do you smoke, drink, or use drugs? If so, why? Do you want to quit?
None of the above.
77. How do you spend a typical Saturday night?
Camped out in the barracks with my partners or meandering around the relaxation annex with them.
78. What makes you laugh?
Seven's antics and Three's reaction to them.
79. What, if anything, shocks or offends you?
The emphasis placed on sex in the outside world. There are more important things to fixate on but people still waste time and energy obsessing over this one act.
80. What would you do if you had insomnia and had to find something to do to amuse yourself?
I either stare at the ceiling and let my mind wander, or I'll walk or jog around the track in the gymnasium. I might go to the relaxation annex for a massage if I am desperate enough for sleep.
81. How do you deal with stress?
Badly. I will bottle it up as much as I can, then have a meltdown when I have some privacy.
82. Are you spontaneous, or do you always need to have a plan?
My sense of humor is spontaneous for the most part, but I prefer having a plan/schedule for every day life.
83. What are your pet peeves?
Unwarranted nonsense, people making excuses for me and unnecessary loud noises.
Part 7: Self Images And Etc.
84. Describe the routine of a normal day for you. How do you feel when this routine is disrupted?
Normal mornings consist of waking, drudging down to the wash rooms to get cleaned up and then heading to breakfast. From there I either move to the gymnasium or the education center until lunch. After lunch I switch to whichever training I didn't attend in the morning until dinner. A visit to the medical wing follows that for daily data collection and then it's back to the wash rooms for another shower. The rest of the night is taken up by free time until lights out. Lather, rinse, repeat. I'm not very happy when this routine is disrupted; I never have been fond of change.
86. What is your greatest weakness?
I don't function well when I am alone for long periods of time.
87. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
I wouldn't change a thing about me. I like who I am.
88. Are you generally introverted or extroverted?
Introverted.
89. Are you generally organized or messy?
I keep the important things organized, but otherwise I am kind of messy on the whole.
90. Name three things you consider yourself to be very good at, and three things you consider yourself to be very bad at.
Good
1. Following orders.
2. Keeping secrets.
3. Acting.
Bad
1. Tolerating loud noises.
2. Dealing with stress.
3. Standing up for myself.
91. Do you like yourself?
Most of the time, but I have my days where I do not.
92. What are your reasons for doing what you do? Are your real reasons for doing this different than the ones you tell people in public? (If so, detail both sets of reasons...)
I do what I do because I was trained to do it, or because I feel that I need to do it. If I have to lie or bend the truth a little to accomplish a goal then I will.
93. What goal do you most want to accomplish in your lifetime?
I have no longterm goals, and short term ones are in low supply right now. Only thing I really aspire to do is die in the field instead of being put down at the labs for losing my usefulness.
94. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Alive or dead, whichever my fate may be.
95. If you could choose, how would you want to die?
I want to go down fighting and face the one that kills me.
96. If you knew you were going to die in 24 hours, name three things you would do in the time you had left.
1. Tell the Admin what I really think of them.
2. Spend a quiet afternoon aboveground, preferably in a tree with a nice view.
3. Find out just how much of my life has been a lie.
97. What is the one thing for which you would most like to be remembered after your death?
Never backing down from a challenge (provided it isn't an unfair one I have no chance of overcoming).
99. What three words would others probably use to describe you?
Grow up, Eleven.
100. What advice would you give the world?
You live and you die and the world keeps on spinning. In the end the only thing that matters is whether you were happy with the way you lived your life.
Ten is completely to blame for this nonsense. She posted the questions in her blog (I think that's the term for it?) and since I wasn't doing much I decided what the hell I'll steal them from her and fill them out myself. I feel like I wasted two hours of my life but, whatever. I'm not real sure I care for this whole 'blogging' deal. What am I supposed to do? Ramble? Hn. This is one of Rosen's ideas, no doubt.
