The lovely and talented
sgamadison has done a commentary for my McShep vampire AU remix, "It's What You Hear (The Five Senses Remix)" at
dvd_commentary. Go read it
HERE. I'm absolutely thrilled she found the story interesting enough to comment on. The story it's a remix of is
telesilla's brilliant
It's What You Don't See (which in turn took some background from a universe created by
helens78.)
I took most all of the structure from the original, so anything nice that is said about mine is a reflection on
telesilla's wonderful story. I love the coolness of telesilla's classical pianist Rodney-vampire --he's a brilliant creation, he's seen a lot and he is the best at what he does in the world (so Rodney!), but in writing mine, I grew very attached to my younger country rock guitarist John-vampire, as well. I really enjoyed dealing with how he perceives the world. The title of the remix refers to a thread of music and sound that runs throughout the story.
Anyway, read telesilla's original (which you have, but it's always worth a reread).
And, if you'd like, it's worth a look to see what Madison
has to say about my version. This
dvd_commentary thing is very cool; I'm going to have to see if I can get one in before the deadline in October.
Again, anything of mine is always available for remixes/sequels/commentaries/whatever.
cesperanza said something the other day -- "Credit not permission" -- which seems like a very good motto to me. :D
