Recs: Giving and Getting
So I just did a beta on a great story called Ring of Fire (Nails Driven Through the Steel) by the lovely busaikko. It's a sequel to the AU story that reduced everyone to quivering mush at mcshep_match: kyuketsukirui's heartwrenching Life (Sometimes it Washes Over Me).
busaikko is best known (to me at least) as a writer of hysterically funny yet emotional Snupin, and I'm soooo happy she's playing in the SGA sandbox. This story is a worthy successor to the original and will warm and break your heart--probably at the same time.
I'm gaining a few SGA friends--Welcome, everyone!--most of you have probably read the first story; trust me, you'll want to read the second.
And speaking of new SGA friends, sheafrotherdon made my week (my month? more?) the other day with this glee-making rec of my mcshep_match story, Ascending Order. I link because it (the rec) is so fabulous and made me so happy and I am shameless. So I just wanted to say thank you Cate, so much!!! Big wet kisses to you!
Cate's rec seems to have inspired some more people to bookmark Ascending Order on del.icio.us. In fact a lot of people have bookmarked the story since it first appeared which thrills me to no end. But alas, the link is going to be changing. Since my story was too long for one post, the mods gave it a temporary home on one of their websites. By this weekend I'll have it over here at my LJ instead, but that means everyone's del.icio.us links to the previous url will be no good. I suppose I can put a post up at sga_noticeboard when the link changes, but I think that's all I can do, right? Oh well, I guess I have to keep writing stories so people know who I am and where my fic can be found.
And when I do put up the story here, I'll get to show you all the fabulous header lunasky made for it!
